Barbarella where are you? - Part 1

Hello,
Here I am back running after a break a little 'too far from the Blog. Both vary a little from painting to play, I decided to dedicate the memorial miniature of the last edition of HEALTH .
This piece has been already started by the distinguished Zerloon who spoke here and
here. I am also wanting to participate in the competition in April in London, I decided that was the case began to dedicate to this miniaturina carved by the sculptor of the Black Scorpion , Adam Clarke. Meanwhile
begin to examine the piece, while the robot is very tasty and perfectly in the theme of "50s science fiction," the girl did not convince me. In fact, besides having a haircut and a gun perfectly "theme," I do not like the swimsuit which is equipped with space. I saw a lot more of those ridiculous outfits to skirt or a suit with a glass adhere totally to goldfish in the head to breathe ... ;) That said, I tried to make the color scheme to the most glaring and absurd that I could think of. After a brief discussion I decided to paint the suit in a purplish pink to contrast with a blue / green metallic plates for reinforcement. One particular thing is that I added and "contaminated" the color of the suit with a little silver mithrill to try the effect of typical metallic space suits of the '50s. After modified the suit and given a base of hair lumeggerò the end, I dedicated myself to the skin trying to correct a sculpture not just excellent with the right highlights (result not think I've got unfortunately) Done this, I turned to the robot and here begins the real challenge, as you know is a real s * ga when it comes to paint the metal and I decided to try to do something decent. I started with a base of scorched brown and shining gold that I have lighted up with more and more shining and finally move to mithrill burnished silver. Results
these lights "base", I realized that I had to give real depth to the shadows .. I then collected the following colors I've mixed and diluted and slowly applied with light washes where needed. After several hours of patient work, I received an astonishing (to me, of course! ^__^) Result ..
incli A few here and there and I decided to stop painting waiting to sunlight .... Now step to the ball and I ask you, kindly give me some advice .... What do you think??
