Working together to enrich On 12 April, at the library Caracciolo di Lecce, the child's room organized a meeting on "tested and working practices." Of particular interest was certainly reading criticism of articles dedicated to it by the DPR 448/88, far more compelling was the discussion started between the different skills available. To mediate the confrontation was the lawyer Luca Monticchio, chairman of that chamber child. The comparison with lawyers and court fees this has been a continuous and productive to question the very institution of probation. The problem was most evident in doubt as to the relative effectiveness of probation or to its being a mere instrument of avoidance of any criminal proceedings on your own. Another issue considered was the relative ease with which these measures are too granted even for crimes for which the minimum, it might be more appropriate to a judicial pardon putting an immediate end to the child's presence in the criminal circuit. In that respect it was pointed out, in fact, as time "organization" of probation are too long and how this contrasts sharply with the continuous personality with which they are proud to do: that of children, of course, which often find themselves caught up in endless tested even when they have now reached the age of majority. Another point of considerable interest is that concerning the requirements to get into probation and the possibility of granting such an institution for particularly serious offenses. It is pointed out, of course, this possibility depends strongly on the specific case under consideration, but it was observed, however, as sometimes this great opportunity to give a guy (depends on chance, again) who has committed a serious crime, has a educational impact as well as "rehabilitation" of considerable scope for the personality of the child itself. The comparison, as evident, has opened many opportunities for reflection, and it has also given the opportunity to note the characteristic features of the various professionals involved and the different ways in which each of them approaches to the same guy. The meeting had been attended by all stakeholders, but the presence more weighty (so only relative, because in reality they were a few too) was that of lawyers. Representing the 'USSM, in particular, and social services, in general, then, we were alone, five, poor, trainees "-nothing! It sounds repetitive, but again I must stress that a great opportunity to participate-sharing-integration we have lost as students. Certainly the most disturbing is the fact that none of the social workers who had to intervene was also submitted, but we who are (let modesty ...) the "future of the profession" we do not really excuse!
